The purpose of this website is to provide information about The Smart Place Adult and Children Services Inc. (SPACS) to a community of people we provide specialized services that increases the “Better all Together” targeted concept. Our provided services are used to enhance the abilities of mentally and physically challenged individuals in our program. Their goals and challenges throughout life become ours. We ultimately work toward our participants gaining a greater sense of self-worth, self-respect and to foster a greater sense of community inclusion.
We continuously strive for our day support program to be gear toward building a person-centered organization where we use the most current information to create a better-informed team of individuals in many ways. By providing training, forming affiliations and keeping our team of employees active in the community in which they serve, SPACS has assembled a very progressive and caring staff. SPACS is very conscious of how important the staff instructing your loved one or close associate can assist in that individual’s goals being accomplished or not. When employees understand the vision of the company and see how their work helps to achieve those goals, they are usually more productive.
Overall, the key to our success is in the difference we are able to make in the lives of the people who experience a relationship with SPACS. From the very first day that the vision of The Smart Place was conceived to the reality of today, the realization of our purpose has flourished into a masterpiece!
The very thought that we have been given the opportunity to inspire our participants to be the very best that they can be and to offer an environment that challenges the people that we serve on a daily basis, gives me great pleasure. I am proud to be surrounded by other people who happen to believe the same thing. What we do at the Smart Place is truly a labor of love, we start our days with the understanding that we are an integral part of our participant’s life, that we are among the decisive elements in their well-being and that OUR smiles are contagious.
Our road is not always easy but it is always fulfilling, because we, The Smart Place family can appreciate that, at the end of each day we have been blessed by a smile, a hug or a fond goodbye and it is apparent that no one wants to leave and everybody wants to come back!
The staff and I work hard to fill our halls with gentle guidance, laughter and love where we discover not only what our community has to offer, but what we can offer our community. We welcome you with open arms and look forward to making you a part of our family.
